Sometimes people will report having found ants in the windows that "must have come in". The truth is the opposite. The ants come from a dark colony hidden somewhere inside something and seek the brightness of the sun and the open space of outside. The winged ants above were inside and swarmed to the window to get out. The problem here is an inside problem. Sometimes swarms of winged things at the windows can cause confusion because Termites do similar.
